The Missing Piece of Anxiety:
Food, Mood & Your
Nervous System
Could Your Anxiety Be Starting
in Your Gut?
You wake up already exhausted.
Coffee becomes breakfast.
Lunch gets skipped because you're too busy.
By the afternoon you're shaky, irritable, and reaching for sugar just to make it through the rest of the day.
Then evening comes...
You're starving.
You eat whatever is easiest.
Now your stomach hurts.
You're bloated.
Constipated.
Your energy crashes.
Your mind won't stop racing.
You crawl into bed wondering...
"Why do I feel so anxious?"
"Why am I exhausted all the time?"
"Why does my stomach always seem upset?"
"Could what I'm eating actually be affecting how I feel?"
The answer is...
YES….
Imagine Feeling More Steady Throughout the Day
Imagine waking up with more energy.
Having fewer afternoon crashes.
Feeling satisfied after meals instead of constantly craving sugar.
Experiencing fewer stomach aches.
Feeling more focused at work.
Sleeping more soundly.
Having a nervous system that feels supported instead of depleted.
Healing isn't about following the perfect diet.
It's about giving your mind and body what they need to function well. And for your anxiety to be nourished through the right foods.
Most people don't realize that anxiety isn't only influenced by stress.
It's also influenced by what—or when—you eat.
When your body isn't getting consistent nourishment, your blood sugar can fluctuate, stress hormones increase, and your nervous system has to work even harder to keep up.
The result?
You may notice:
• Increased anxiety
• Brain fog
• Headaches
• Fatigue
• Mood swings
• Difficulty concentrating
• Irritability
• Cravings
• Digestive issues
• Constipation
• Poor sleep
This doesn't mean food is the cause of anxiety. But it can absolutely make anxiety feel LOUDER.
Your Brain Can't Thrive Without Fuel.
This is Where I can Help…
I grew up with this motto:
Feel Good, Look Good, And You Be Good!!
All throughout my life, I strived to feel good because if you eat right, you feel right! Nutrition is directly linked with how we feel: our mood, our hormones, and our digestion.
Did you know that our gut and our brain are interconnected and the foods we eat influence our digestive system and our brain functioning? Some foods we eat can disrupt our mental health with increasing anxiety, depression, low energy, frustration, and sleep.
It is not about food rules. This isn’t about dieting. And it is definitely not about perfection.
For me, once I figured out what food my body needed, I had an increase in energy, less physical ailments, more life balance as I set my nourishment as a priority, AND my anxiety has gone from a scale of 100 (being high anxiety) to 10 (very low)!!! Absolutely fascinating, and yet, so simple!
Whether you're forgetting to eat because life is busy, emotionally eating after a stressful day, or wondering if your gut health is contributing to your anxiety, we'll create practical strategies that fit your lifestyle.
Because healing should feel supportive...Not overwhelming.
Food can be our medicine

What? Food is part of therapy sessions?! YES! It is one of the first places to start when assessing your mental health. We will review and reflect on your relationship with food. We will assess what you eat, how it makes you feel, and how your digestive system responds to the foods you eat. From this assessment, we will build an individualized plan to implement into your daily routine with lots of ongoing assessment, check ins, and encouragement. With these small changes and effort, you can experience more energy, more balance & better mood!
-
These sessions will not only focus on your nutrition, but we’ll also discuss other factors including: stress, worry, sleep, hygiene, water intake, social relationships, etc. This process creates a mind body connection, resulting in a regulated nervous system, manageable emotions, clearer mind, and our therapy work goes even deeper for sustainable changes in your mental health!
-
When you support yourself with nourishing food for YOUR body, not only will you be positively impacting your brain, nervous system, and emotional regulation, but therapy becomes even more effective, and sustainable! Our brains needs steady blood sugar, healthy fats, and key nutrients to regulate our moods, and our capacity to respond instead of react. Eating right for you can reduce stress, lower cortisol, and helps your body feel more safe! Balanced meals can decrease brain fog, loud thoughts, and panic sensations. This nourishment for you, not is healing you intellectually, but physiologically and emotionally. Let’s Do This!
Together we’ll find that:
Nutrition is a key component in balancing our nervous system.
Food Is Information for Your Brain
Every meal sends a message to your body.
The question is...
Is it helping your nervous system feel safe—or asking it to work even harder?
Small changes can make a big difference.
When your body is nourished, your mind has a stronger foundation for healing.
